A change of heart, a change of chapter, or simply making space for something new, whatever the reason, we’re here without judgement. Laser tattoo removal works by delivering short, precise pulses of light energy that break down tattoo pigment beneath the skin’s surface. Your body’s immune system then gradually processes and clears the fragmented ink in the weeks following each session. Different wavelengths target different ink colours, which is why a professional assessment is always the first step.
Most tattoos require between 6 and 12 sessions, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart to allow healing between treatments. How many sessions you’ll need depends on the ink colour and type, the age and placement of the tattoo, and your body’s individual healing response. Darker inks, particularly black and dark blue, typically respond faster than lighter or multi-coloured inks.
Some discomfort during treatment is expected. Temporary redness, swelling, or blistering may follow, and detailed aftercare is provided after every session. All potential risks, including the possibility of temporary changes to skin pigmentation or texture, are discussed before we begin.
We’ll give you an honest, realistic assessment at your consultation. And if you’re looking to fade a tattoo for a cover-up rather than full removal, we’re happy to work alongside your tattoo artist to plan the approach.
